First you will need a general background on the American Revolutionary War. You may have already gotten some information from your teachers/textbook, but this will help as a refresher. Use the following websites to help you with this information. Pick and choose two websites to review.

National Park Service American Revolution Web Site- tour the revolution through parks around the country.

The following website has primary resource documents from spies during the Revolutionary War. It will prove to be invaluable in your research. Please study the samples carefully. ALL students need to look at this website!

Spy Letters of the American Revolution- spy letters exhibit with descriptions of letters and stories that go with the letters.

These are the resources for the individual jobs.

Cartographer- This person will map the route your spy takes in his journey.

Cryptologist - This person will come up with the code that you will use to write your spy letter.

Military Strategist- This person will come up with your military plan for your spy.
